Dr. Rozemarijn (Rosie) Staal is a clinical psychologist who specializes in providing psychotherapy and psychological assessment services. She provides services virtually and in person in Southlake, Texas.  Through PSYPACT she is able to deliver services virtually to individuals located in the following States: AL, AZ, AR, CO, CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, ME, MD, MI, MN, MO, NE, NV, NH, NJ, NC, ND, OH, OK, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WV, WI, and WY.

In clinical practice, Dr. Staal uses an evidence-based approach, and she has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with a wide variety of emotional and behavioral concerns, in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings. She has extensive experience working with neurodiverse individuals and is also an LGBTQIA+ ally.

Dr. Staal particularly excels at making a differential diagnosis in complex cases.  In these cases, the goal of psychological assessment is to look closely at symptom onset and course in order to make an accurate diagnosis and to develop a treatment plan and recommendations.  Dr. Staal is also available to provide training and consultation services.

Dr. Staal earned her Doctorate in Psychology from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio and she is a Licensed Psychologist in Texas.  She is the author of the DM-ID 2 Workbook, which is a tool that assists mental health providers to make an accurate mental health diagnosis in individuals with an intellectual disability. She has presented at professional conferences and is the recipient of the American Association on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Psychology Division Research Award.
